USING METATRADER 4 (MT4)
On Your Computer
Once you have an MT4 account you can login to it via the MT4 platform you have downloaded from City Index.
Please note. The examples below are for a Windows PC but a Mac version will be very similar.
Login to Live Account
To login to your live account you will need to know three (3) things:

1. Your Login Number
2. Your Password
3. The Server Details

STEPS
​
1. Open the MT4 Platform
2. Go to File/Log in to Trade Account​​​​

It should look exactly like the image below except with your Login details. The server will be in the dropdown menu box and will probably be CityIndexAU-Live 101 (this is the computer server that it is connected to)
Click LOGIN and you will be connected to your account
Login to your Demo Account
This is similar to above but you will have to change the 'server' name
To login to your Demo account you will need to know three (3) things:

1. Your Login Number
2. Your Password
3. The Server Details (You have to change this manually to 'Metaquotes-Demo')

STEPS
​
1. Open the MT4 Platform
2. Go to File/Log in to Trade Account​​​​
​
It should look exactly like the image below except with your Login details. The server in the dropdown menu box will have to be changed to Metaquotes-Demo manually (eg - typing it in)
Click LOGIN and you will be connected to your account
